Kela's demanding medical rehabilitation psychotherapy
I offer psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. My work is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which examines the connections between thoughts, feelings, behavior, and life situations, and practices concrete ways to strengthen well-being and functioning.
Psychotherapy can help with problems related to, for example, anxiety, depression, social fears, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, stress, exhaustion, emotional difficulties, and challenging life situations. The work is always planned individually according to the client's situation and goals.
Rehabilitation psychotherapy
I offer Kela rehabilitation psychotherapy for young people and adults. The goal of rehabilitation psychotherapy is to support study and work ability and strengthen psychological functioning.
Self-pay psychotherapy and brief therapy
You can also come to the reception as a self-paying client without a rehabilitation psychotherapy decision from Kela. The work can be longer-term psychotherapy or shorter therapeutic work focusing on a limited problem or life situation.
Adolescent psychotherapy
I also work with children and young people. For minor clients, please contact me first before booking an appointment so that we can assess the appropriate working method and practical arrangements.
Familiarization visit
Adults can book an appointment directly for an introductory visit. During the first meeting, we will get to know your situation, your goals, and what kind of work would serve you best. At the same time, we can assess whether cognitive behavioral therapy could suit your needs.
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a research-based, goal-oriented and practical form of psychotherapy. At the beginning of the therapy, an understanding of the client's situation is formed together and a treatment plan is drawn up, which defines the key problems and goals of the work.
In therapy, the therapist does not just listen, but actively participates in the work. The therapist presents his or her views, gives advice and guidance, and provides information about the person's thoughts, feelings, and behavior. The therapist's task is also to support, encourage, and help the client make changes.
In therapy, new skills are learned and practical exercises are done. The exercises often continue between sessions, as the real change occurs primarily in the client's own everyday life. The therapist provides information, tools and support, but the client makes the change themselves.
The goal is to gradually learn to use the skills learned in therapy independently so that the therapist eventually becomes unnecessary. The work can aim, for example, to alleviate symptoms, strengthen functional capacity, change behavior, or build a more meaningful life that is in line with one's own goals.
The duration of therapy is planned individually according to need. It can be short-term or continue for several years.

Psychological services
You can come to a psychologist's office with a low threshold when you need support, advice, or new perspectives on your life situation. You don't need to know in advance exactly what your problems are or what kind of help you need.
Together with a psychologist, you can analyze your situation, increase your understanding of your own thoughts and behavior, and look for concrete ways to move forward. The work is active and practical: the psychologist listens, but also provides information, advice, perspectives, and exercises.
A visit to a psychologist can be helpful, for example, during life changes and crises, in dealing with grief or loss, after a traumatic experience, in stress and milder mood or anxiety problems, and when you need support with parenting or other challenging life situations.
If you don't yet know what kind of help you need, we can also assess your situation together and consider what kind of support or service would be most suitable for you.
The service focuses on promoting psychological well-being, increasing self-awareness, structuring problems and finding practical solutions. The service does not include psychological examinations, diagnostic assessments or related statements.
